ARMY knows very well that our precious Golden Maknae Jungkook likes weight training. Celebrating his 23rd birthday, we are going to talk about some of the Do’s if you want to start this type of training and some benefits of it.
If you want to start this type of training, work with a weight training person, a specialist athletic trainer, or another fitness specialist who is familiar with proper weight training techniques. This way, you can avoid painful injuries that may slow down your training efforts.
Start lifting an appropriate amount of weight. A single set of 12 to 15 repetitions with a weight that fatigues the muscles can build strength efficiently and can be as effective as three sets of the same exercise.
As you get stronger, gradually increase the amount of weight.

Include weight training into your fitness routine. Researchers recommend integrating strength training exercises of all the major muscle groups into a fitness routine at least two times a week.
Rest. Exercise the same muscles two days in a row is not recommended. Work all of the muscle groups at a single session 2 or 3 times a week or plan daily sessions for specific muscle groups. Ex. work your arms on Monday, your legs on Tuesday, and so on.
Thinking weight lifting is just about bulking up and building muscle mass is wrong!
It has many other benefits like having an improved posture, sleeping better, maintaining weight loss, boosting metabolism, among a laundry list of positives.

Let’s talk about some!
It helps to keep healthy bones. Just like the brain needs to be stimulated to stay sharp, your bones need to be challenged. Resistance training creates a force on the bone and helps it stay strong.
It enhances the metabolism. With weight training, you can change your metabolism by burning more calories if you have more muscle. Muscle is an active tissue so it burns more energy at rest compared to fat. By boosting your metabolism you get fat loss.
It regulates insulin. Strength training has you burning through glucose, which can be good for those struggling with Type 2 diabetes who consistently need to manage blood sugar levels.
Strength training helps joints stay flexible and can reduce the symptoms of arthritis.
Who doesn't want to look and feel healthy like Jungkook?
