As someone who considers themselves a moderate, let me say this.

Left-leaning policies have some of the absolute worst persuasion I’ve ever seen. It’s always about hitting people with stats and numbers, which speaks to our brains.

But people make choices with their gut.
It almost doesn’t even matter how right you are.

Being right isn’t going to move enough people. You must speak to people’s hearts and guts. That’s ultimately how we decide. What do we “feel”.

Stats represent the proof of how you already feel but it won’t convince someone new
It’s hard to even watch the political left make pitches sometimes because it’s so utterly cringe that it’s off putting

The right is often going right around the numbers and data straight to people’s heart and gut & that just works better
We have a neocortex but that’s not really how we make choices

Our neocortex helps us justify what our stupid little reptile brains “feel”

So to break out, we need new “feelings” feeding into our stupid little reptile brains that we can push up to our neocortex 🩎
