3/ A study of school mobility in Zhytomyr found that primary school students were more likely to be brought to school by car. Safety concerns are a major issue. #TUMIchallenge

4/ To tackle this challenge, a mobility camp focusing on safety was held in October 2019. The kids learned about global and local trends in transport and cities, considered examples of street design and talked about how it affects comfort and safety. #TUMIchallenge

5/ After the mobility camp, the kids went outside to assess the real world and identify high-risk areas to develop solutions. #TUMIchallenge

6/ Solutions include re-design and construction of sidewalks, crossings and intersections, bike sheds and other measures #TUMIchallenge

7/ Currently we are about to complete the installation of bicycle parking near the schools participating in our project. According to our information, these are the first covered bicycle parking lots not only near schools, but also in Zhytomyr in general. #TUMIchallenge

8/ The re-design and construction of sidewalks, crossings and intersections will take place soon!! Stay tuned. #TUMIchallenge
