1. It’s a frustrating line to walk. I don’t condone violence, looting, arson or riots. I also understand that when you feel like you are being murdered and no one is listening, how incredibly offensive it is to be told to abide by the rules that no one in authority is abiding by.

2. Even more frustrating are those allies who “want normalcy” and only recently woke up to the plight that black people have endured for centuries, telling black people to behave because not doing so is “unhelpful”. Black people have been behaving. We risk death either way.
