Unity's philosophy is to focus on building technologies to help developers succeed.

Epic has a somewhat different agenda because they are also a publisher
The biggest risk to Unity is Epic's position and pricing strategy in gaming.

Epic can and are already starting to offer Unreal at favourable prices because they earn $ from Fortnite and EGS
But the big opportunity IMO is Unity in industrial applications

Unity's tech is lighter and far easier to adopt than Unity
Unity is embedded in the chipset for industrial apps but seems to be focusing far more than Epic on apps outside of gaming
