Interesting dilemma: Seeing someone making a statement about a particular thing in knitting being perfect, and it& #39;s an area in which I have done a TONNE of research and I know it& #39;s absolutely not. But I bet the person saying this would not be happy to receive my input. 1/...
Most of my objection to the statement, for context, is that the technique is absolutely perfect is a very specific set of circumstances, but less than perfect in many other situations. 2/...
I love this about knitting: that there are so many ways to do things! A knitter has choices! Valid choices! So many good ways to do things! And I know I& #39;m guilty of making absolute statements sometimes. But this particular blanket statement... well, it& #39;s too blanket. 3/...
But I would absolutely look like - heck, be - a jerk if a weighed in! I know that! I will stay quiet. But tbh it frustrates me a little to see a class that promotes this as a perfect solution. I feel for the knitters who aren& #39;t going to be well-served by that. /end
In summary: All of these techniques, all of these variations evolved because there isn& #39;t a single RIGHT solution for anything, there isn& #39;t one solution that covers all situations. There are lots of right ways to do things. It& #39;s about finding the one that& #39;s right for you!
