This is a thread for all those investors out there who are cricket fans. Three of the major asset classes equity, debt and gold represented by Indian cricketers.
Equity - Virat Kohli : Would score heavily and break records over the course of his career (high long term returns leading to wealth creation). But also prone to lean spells where he would get dismissed cheaply (inherent short term volatility in equities).
Debt - Cheteshwar Pujara : Predominantly defensive mindset, scores slowly but consistently and holds one end up (Debt - relatively low risk, steady capital appreciation but provides regular income)
Gold - MS Dhoni : Never hogs the limelight or takes credit for performing, but always the final hope when a rescue act in a crisis situation is needed (Gold - only upto 10% allocation in a portfolio, but the perfect hedge for portfolios during times of widespread economic crises)
