you guys can't scream "no more oppression for gay people!!1!1" but then do something similar to an act of oppression. like... do you know what you're implying here? you're saying that you agree with how gay people should "keep it to themselves" while the hets can run wild

like het couples can go around proposing in public, be openly affectionate with each other, be able to boast about their partner to others with all the love, just the freedom to express their love life

then there's us gays who have to hide behind subtleties or none at all

also i know ive seen someone once said "chill they didn't show explicit scenes for the het couples too, not a single kissing scene"

wq & jc are also made to be subtle to be a parallel of wangxian. they point a nod into wangxian's dynamics that's meant to be taken as a pairing of romance like how chengqing did (example: the longing glances lwj & jc gives wwx & wq respectively)
