Twangs n slangs âghettoâ till trendy
Mocked while imitated

Nina Simone bodies this Billie Holiday cover and captured the pain and anger of the song perfectly.

Rock n Roll
You canât see the full beauty/ picture of the present without understanding and respecting the past

Popular Music aka Pop music is heavily influenced by Black culture as Black artists such as the King himself MJ, Whitney Houston, & Prince etc broke into the genre and arguably practically took over.
HIP HOP. Caribbean influenced and took flight in the 70s it has become an unstoppable force & face of Black culture for better or for worse. Many genres of Hip Hop exist & it was at a point commonly used to âfight the powerâ and often still is.
Durags. Black hair care and fashion
created in the 30s, a fashion statement in the 60s and still thriving through our beautiful Black youths

Watermelon is a symbol of pride for our people. Anything otherwise is letting racists set the tone. You donât have to like the taste but you can respect what it represents: FREEDOM and first Black business.! Racist ytes have always spat on our culture to make us feel inferior.
Country living one more time Bc if itâs one thang Beyonce did is represent southern Black living. Before the great migration all Black people have southern roots as that is ofc where American slavery took place. Iâm Mississippi and Arkansas hby?
Do I need to start on voices?
