1/.. @ShaunBaileyUK ruffled a few feathers yesterday, but he's absolutely on the money, so let's look at it a little deeper..

2/...You're probably thinking that I'm going to blame Dick, or Khan or whoever the current Home Sec' happens to be? But I'm not, because whoever you'd like to insert/delete into any of these roles won't make the slightest bit of difference.

3/...Why? Because our inner cities are amok with feral, teenage knife gangs. All awash with drugs cash beyond their wildest dreams. Cash, loads of cash, more than they or their parents have ever seen. Easy, easy cash too.

4/...Senegalese, Somalian, Rwandan, Congolese kids, brought up with a knife in one hand and a machete in the other, suddenly parachuted into a tower block on a lawless London council reservation, and they can't believe their luck.

5/...How much do you want to earn? How ruthless can you be? There's no grafting involved for this money, no proper work needed, you just pass the drugs on for whatever mark up you can get away with. The streets belong to them, the Police are hopelessly outnumbered

6/...Not even a million (unarmed) coppers will stop young Mohammed slipping a knife into Yusuf's ribs in Haringey KFC on the way home from school. Violence is power, power is money and the police are nowhere to be seen.

7/...Are our Police even interested? It's just identikit teen dealer after identikit teen dealer getting stabbed. Someone somewhere will light a candle, but you and I won't even remember their name by suppertime - or care.

8/...Abdullah stabs Mohammed, his brother Ali was stabbed last month too. His cousin Yahya was murdered three months ago, the conveyor belt keeps moving and they'll soon be replaced - nature doesn't like a vacuum. Dick, Khan, Patel - whatever - the belt keeps moving

9/....Everyone of them is operating in a parallel universe to the rest of us. No VAT, no taxes, no responsibility, no morals, just easy drugs cash. We don't know how they got here, we don't know how to get rid of them.

10/...The future? No crumbs of comfort I'm afraid. Russian/Albanian gangs are flooding the UK with guns and gun crime is escalating year on year. Guns are bought with easy drugs cash and knives are for kids and amateurs

11/..Guns equal power, power is profit and the bodies continue to rack up. Bailey blames Khan (well he would wouldn't he?), but there's nothing Khan or Khan's successor can do about it because life's too cheap and the cash is too easy.

12/...The laws of our green and pleasant land have been overtaken by the laws of supply & demand, and until we take out the end user (the demand) or the end user ceases their habit, we'll keep lighting candles, keep counting bodies and keep demanding answers.
