A short thread on #FPL vs #GSC

Some people play GSC as a less intense alternative to FPL, but the vast majority play both as they complement each other nicely.

FPL can be pretty time-consuming. Spreadsheets, planning, transfer strategies etc. Which is great.

That still leaves room for GSC, which only takes 10 seconds a week.

Picking the right player each week is still tough of course, but much easier for the casual observer.

Bored during international weeks? That’s where GSC comes in, with seven international gameweeks this season.

You still have to pick a Premier League player, but it’s fun to find those hidden gems.

You’d never pick Junior Hoilett in FPL. But in GSC, v? Yes please.

Can’t decide between two captains in #FPL? Pick the other one in #GSC.

Can’t fit in a player in form with a plum home fixture that week? Pick them in #GSC.

Desperate for the team you support to keep a clean sheet? Pick the opponent’s star striker as an emotional hedge.

You have to be pretty good to win at GSC these days - the winner scored 41 goals in 55 gameweeks last season.

But even if you’re nowhere near that, there are monthly prizes (£20 to your nominated charity) or you could just go for the coveted #onepick and a shout-out on here.

This is nowhere near as good as @BenCrellin’s version; if you want all-singing and all-dancing, definitely pay for his.
