There are thousands of autistic students in England who are going to be completely terrified of going back into school next week. Are they getting *any* additional support or adjustments?
These children might be afraid of the virus itself. They might be afraid of changes to the school day. They might be afraid of seeing their friends again. They might be afraid of seeing their bullies again. They might be afraid someone they trust has died.
Thry might be afraid that their safe space is no longer available to them. They might be afraid theg won't be able to see their friends in other year groups. They might be afraid of the change in routine. They might be afraid of the journey to school.
They might feel angry that thryre being forced back in. They might feel angry at their parents. They might feel angry at the world which has let them down so badly. They might feel lost.
And I don't think *ANY* of this has been considered at all. Not centrally at least. Some individual schools might have got their act together but there's no guarantee.
