Why you and every K-POP stan should boycott colorized lyric videos (Jaeguchi, Lemoring, etc.).

Firstly, I wanted to explain a bit how Youtube monetization works. When a channel such as Jaeguchi posts a lyric video, naturally, Youtubeâs copyright detection system will automatically âclaimâ the video, and all proceeds will go to the rightful companies (such as YG or Bighit)
Channels such as Jaeguchi, Lemoring, etc. abuse this auto detection system (since there isnât an actual person reviewing the contents of the video) to claim almost all monetization leaving entertainment companies with almost no profits for their creation.
I will explain 2 methods I know of that are used by these channels to claim part of if not all money made from views below. Here is a screenshot of what a normal lyric video looks like in the creator studio, you can clearly see the song is completely claimed by JYPE.
Method 1: Outro song. You may have noticed when watching a lyric video that some have a generic song that plays for about 30+ seconds at the end of a video. Channels will purchase the rights a generic song someone puts for sale, and then attach that to their videos (see below)
By attaching this video, since they technically have purchased the rights to these songs, are able to claim partial monetization (up to ~50% depending on length). The following video is the Lyric video for Red Velvetâs âMilky Wayâ At the end their song is played.
Because of that song, SM entertainment is losing thousands of dollars (depending on view count) despite their content being uploaded and used for views.
Method 2: Visual Audio Claim.
This method is primarily used by Jaeguchi and their network (to be explained). This method explains why they do not even bother with the outro method above as they are easily able to claim almost ALL money made from a video without that effort.

Basically if youâre a bit older youâll know of a website called viewster. It was basically an old version of Youtube. Channels like Jaeguchi will partner with websites like this that posses the power to copyright claim visual arts (because they are a video company)
Companies like viewster will submit a copyright claim that will go through without fail because K-POP entertainment companies do not physically file copyright claims. Then, viewster will simply allow Jaeguchi and their network to receive full monetization for their video.
Explaining the network:
Since Jaeguchi has this relationship with visual rights societies such as Viewster, they recruit other popular lyric channels to have their videos go through the same process I explained above. In exchange they take a percentage of the money made.

In conclusion channels like Jaeguchi are MONOPOLIZING the K-POP lyric industry and we are letting it happen by viewing their videos and taking no action. These videos get an insane amount of views, enough to actually make millions a year with full monetization. Jaeguchiâs channel
What should you take away from this thread? Just look up the lyrics you need on genius or check if the official channel uploaded them because that is more common these days. Nonetheless, BOYCOTT THESE CHANNELS.
Also tag @TeamYouTube so they can do something about this scandal, this is absolutely illegal and millions of dollars are being stolen from hard working companies such as YGE or BigHit labels.
Also I want to credit @/zaerapollo on youtube. They explained this and I sort of dumbed it down for twitter. Check out their videos on this:
I also ask that individual fandoms organize mass emailing so big entertainment companies in S.Korea can contact youtube and/or have someone physically claim all lyric videos.
I also want to stress that I do not own this knowledge! This scandal has been around for a while, the point of this thread is to raise awareness as I see a lot of people are still not sure why we want to boycott these channels.
