Over the coming years, @amazon is setting up to dominate and disrupt the sports ecosystem.

Here's my 7 reasons/ predictions why:
👇
1. Global Internet. Only 55% of the world has internet. Amazon is investing $10 billion in rolling out satellites to provide a global broadband offering that will transform connectivity.
📈people with internet = new customers + markets unlocked = way more live sports eyeballs
2. Amazon Go allows customers to just walk in, take what you want, and go. You get charged once you leave the store automatically. No checkout. Go could be rolled out in stadiums and will transform the consumption of F&B.
No lines = more customers = huge 📈in ARPU
3. Virtual watch parties and chat. Amazon have launched their watch party offering, and
@Twitch (it's leading social video platform) is a market leader in interactivity with viewers.
More interactivity = more community = larger return audiences
4. Twitch launched a dedicated sports offering. Content will be range from h/lights to premium live, behind the scenes, athlete first, etc. This format will become the new home for fans to connect w/ their fave teams+athletes+sports in yrs to come.
Big library = the new fan hub
5. Both Twitch & Prime have ramped up rights acquisition. They have now expanded to regional, including recent deals in NY (MLB) & Seattle (MLS). They will become the home of premium sports rights and will continue to acquire wherever they see value.
Going local AND global 🌏
6. Amazon has truly unique interactivity with Xray and Alexa. 2nd screen will be no more, as all interactivity can happen whilst you continue to watch. Social will be integrated. Stats, bio's and latest news without leaving the screen.
📈interactivity = longer watch times
7. Native eCommerce enables users to buy merch, such as a player’s jersey or shoes, in a few clicks all whilst never leaving the b/cast. It will deliver a huge increase in share of wallet/ ARPU and will change the way rights are valued forever.
Native eCommerce = 📈 ARPU
