In case you're wondering, the Avs PDO this series is .881. It was .905 during Game 1 and .875 tonight.

All sit Avs are leading in High Danger Corsi and the xG are 5.78 to 4.74.

The problem with series is that sometimes luck happens and it doesn't have long enough to correct.

5v5 Corsi is 94 to 68 (58%), which still comes out to 87 to 73 when you score adjust (54%).

Biggest problem right now? Probably the high danger save %. Avs are only getting 70.5% at evens (Dallas is 93.8). High danger Corsi at 5v5 is 16 COL to 17 DAL so it's not lopsided.

At evens, Avs overall are shooting at 4% vs Dallas's 16%. You expect around 8% or so, so to put it mildly, the Avs are due. A bit more in the save department would help, but it's hard to fault Frankie for the shoulder goal and he arguably had the 4th.

If your eyes are telling you the Avs played well tonight and deserved better, your eyes are right. If your eyes are finding every last fault, they're not necessarily wrong but are being colored by THE MASSIVE FRUSTRATION we're all feeling right now. It's not as bad as it looks.
