fun story for tonight
I had to take my dad to lichfield auto to get his car repaired, so I drove there and met him. I was wearing a mask in the car and the entire 10 minute drive home he was pestering me about that saying shit like “it impairs your vision” and “there’s no reason”

so when we actually get home I take off the mask and he does the whole “WOAH WHY AREN’T YOU WEARING A MASK IF YOU WORE ONE IN THE CAR?????” shtick which is already incredibly grating on its own so I offered to make him some tea. he initially declined and then agreed after I left.

then I pour the fucking tea and he pulls me aside and starts going on just the most delirious fucking rant one could ever imagine. he started off by asking me what my political affiliation was so I had to lie through my teeth about that and then he starts talking about morals...

asking shit like “what is morals” which is just the most vague question in existence. I ask him what he means and then told him that I think the government shouldn’t have the amount of power it does over people. he then proceeds to completely forget separation of church and state

about how gay and trans people are ruining the world and how abortion is murder and if you’ve been forced to sit through a second of Fox News you know the rest. So now I just think that my dad knows that I don’t agree with him politically which could be very bad for my situation.
