Hey #seattleprotests, we need to talk.

I, like many of you, found it especially important to come out tonight in support of Jacob Blake and Trayford Pellerin.

We saw the flyer for ENDD and EDM (which we’ve joined many, many times) and invited two friends to come march w/ us.

As we were leaving Cal Anderson at the back of the group, we were approached by a white woman in full gear who asked “are you with us?” “...yes...” (obviously. we’re marching w/ you). “you need to be wearing *all* black and be ready to run” and then she glared disapprovingly.

Our friends were like “oh... ok we’ll leave then...?” Looking around, there were a lot of people w/ patterns, shorts, bright hair colors, tattoos, SANDALS.

How about you do you, and we’ll do us? Just like you hate peace policing, don’t tell us how we should be protesting.

You wonder why you’re not getting large numbers at protests? Fucking this. Don’t alienate and shame four folks who are showing support and marching with you.
