I am a Cuban refugee. Like you, I fled Communist Cuba as a young boy and I owe everything I am today to this great nation and the opportunities it afforded my family. I also abhor Communism, but that's where our similarities end.

To consider President Trump "a family man" is to smear the term and the values and virtues associated with it. To compare Joe Biden to Fidel Castro does nothing more than bring honor to the legacy of a murderous dictator who crushed our island nation.

While you can never forget "the faces of those who grew up with you, who looked like you," I cannot forget the faces of children thrown in cages, who look like me, when my family first arrived in America. We came seeking refuge just like they did.

Under Castro's communist rule, the freedoms my father fought to protect became a thing of the past.
And so, thinking only of their son's future, my family left everything behind in search of opportunity in the greatest democracy known to man.

We are a proud American family that owes an immense debt of gratitude to the nation that took us in while ours turned its back. Now it's my turn to look out for my children's future. I join the fight for the very freedoms that so many have died to defend.

That's why on November 3rd, I'll be voting for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. A vote for Biden/ Harris is a vote for American democracy and decency and a brighter future for all children regardless of color or creed.
