Holy shit. (Thread of thoughts to follow... Eventually.) https://twitter.com/SquhdeTTV/status/1298038716829704193">https://twitter.com/SquhdeTTV...
I& #39;m going to try to remain as spoiler free as possible. But anything that references specific events from the movie will include #SquhdeEndgame so mute that before continuing this thread.
This was a very good film. Definitely not a standalone. There is no watching this film without understanding the MCU. I& #39;m so glad I watched everything else up to this because there were SO MANY references to previous films. It really truly felt like a finale.
A common theme I saw and enjoyed was passing down the torch to the next generation. With Cap and Sam, Thor and Valkyrie, Tony and... Everyone, honestly. It& #39;s a very empowering theme but also very bittersweet. Knowing that they won& #39;t be around anymore. #SquhdeEndgame
We lost a few very important characters in this film, too, and I felt the deaths were handled very well. I like that they reassured me that Natasha was gone because while watching I was like "okay but what if she can come back" so being reminded like. Cemented it. #SquhdeEndgame
The part where they went to get the stones was very nice. Letting some of the major characters face their past and use that as strength to push forward was nice. I wish they did more with that (Rocket seeing Quill could have been nice) #SquhdeEndgame
The scene where all the Avengers assembled right when things were looking bad had me nearly screaming with excitement. Plus Cap with Mjolnir? Yes PLEASE. #SquhdeEndgame
Overall, my only regret was not being able to see this film in theaters. Normally I& #39;m someone who enjoys watching movies from the comfort of my own home, but this movie in particular would have been amplified by the theater experience. Oh well.
All I have left is Spider-Man: Far From Home. Idk when I& #39;ll be watching it but probably soon. And then I& #39;m caught up! Fucking finally. If you have more questions on how I felt on certain parts, reply or DM me. It& #39;s all still swirling around in my head hahaha.
