Here's reentry testing data to-date (note that UAB classes just began today so their testing may not be completed):
Also, NOT COUNTING ANY REENTRY TESTS, the Univ of Alabama reported 531 cumulative positive tests since August 19 (when classes resumed on campus). This encompasses "sentinel testing, point of care testing in campus health centers, and self-reported tests from private providers."
Note that sentinel testing through GuideSafe has not begun yet, so the cumulative number above very likely came from testing symptomatic individuals and those known to have come in close contact with another individual who tested positive. (Contact tracing very useful here)
Important: The University of Alabama is at 19.78% occupancy of its isolation spaces.

This means over 80% is vacant. Most students choosing to go home to isolate and quarantine rather than utilize these on-campus facilities.
