The Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce has published an economic impact report highlighting the affect of COVID19 shutdown policies for our region as well as the state of TN for the period of March 15-Aug 1, 2020.

We’ve lost 128,248 jobs during that period which accounts for 12.3% of the labor force, and an economic loss of $11.253 Billion dollars GDP for the Nashville Metropolitan Area. Is it any wonder why families are struggling?
The human toll in suicides, overdoses, substance abuse, increased crime, failed business, broken dreams, lost freedoms, and much more has far surpassed that of the virus from which government claims to be protecting us. The cure is much worse than the disease.
It’s time to reopen Nashville- NOW. Next time Dictator @JohnCooper4Nash discusses the metrics he uses to justify our continued loss of livelihoods and freedoms while consolidating more and more power for himself, I’d like to see these numbers addressed as well.
I call on the city council to propose a new law that requires these statistics including unemployment, suicides, crime rate, overdoses, business closings, & more to be published and discussed along with any of Dictator Cooper’s press briefings. It’s time for honest discussion.
