Some have looked into #MAID because they see no end. Not just from their health, but the despair caused by #ODSPoverty.

3. But #MedicalAidInDying is not to help people end a life of misery caused by poverty, it’s there to help people end physical suffering brought about by a permanent medical condition that will not improve.

4. #ODSPoverty contributes to that suffering by preventing people from eating healthily, getting the meds they need, proper housing.

5. #ODSPoverty exacerbates that suffering. People are so stressed, depressed, malnourished, that it contributes to their lack of wellbeing and therefore increases suffering.
