Spoke to another USPS worker in West Virginia just now. Citing his 1A rights, he says he refused to sign a letter supervisors are passing out saying workers won't talk to reporters. He says overtime has been banned in the entire building since last month despite what DeJoy claims
"A lot of employees are scared" to talk to the media, he said. Said he liked DeJoy until hours were cut. Said he knows USPS needs a $$$ bailout, but worries how they'll spend it. Said USPS likes to invent supervisor jobs. He pointed to abuse of the 204b position (temp sup)
He said ballots cause a "big time" influx of mail there and there is concern about being overwhelmed due to removal of sorters. Said Joe Manchin visited a USPS facility there recently & while talking about drug packages pointed at a letter sorter, which made everyone laugh.
Here's a copy of the "do not talk to media" letter given to Appalachian area workers. Notice they tucked "on duty" in there.

Also someone walked on it.
Just another document someone sent me. An employee questionnaire. I'm told these go in the trash. (Supposedly, one question is hidden among many that bosses can use against union negotiators: "Are you satisfied with your pay?")
If you watched the House hearing today and wondered what was inside that internal USPS report leaked to Congress, here are the actual charts. Shows overall performance noticeably tanking after DeJoy takes office.

A Vegas carrier says he's seen none of the problems reported by other USPS workers, but isn't surprised; he works a wealthy rural route. Worst thing: His mail is no longer properly sorted, adding ~30 min of work to his day. Six sorting machines were removed from his area.
