Time and time again we turn on the TV and see once again a black person getting shot by the police. Or in other cases, they are in a situation where the police use excessive force resulting in the death of a black person. More often than not they are also not armed or a threat.
We have seen multiple times where we watch them dying in the street and nobody is doing anything to help save them. My heartbreaks and I start screaming "fucken do something" into the silence of my home.
They are human beings.
Fathers
Mothers
Sisters
Brothers
Sons
Daughters
Friends

They are worth more than what these people in power are doing. They are so much more, and now we are just left with names, while we all question why their voices were cut short.
We watch in horror as they die. And it takes so much out of us to see, but we must keep seeing. No more shall we go in silence while proof is being sent far and wide.
I thought a lot about the one's we have lost. The one's taken last night after watching the video of #JacobBlake which is horrendous on it's own. And his kids witnessing such altercation has me furious and beyond words at this point.
So the question remains, why do they leaving them dying in the streets? In their own back yards? At parks? Their own apartments? Why? If they felt so threatened, even though we can see in the altercation most are not, why not administer help after they are down?
Why not help them? Save them?
Because now we have a cops word against a dead man's word. Now we have a chance to smear the victims into criminals, when the criminals are those in power. The ones that took the oath to protect. They are the murders.
I'm glad #JacobBlake is working towards recovering from this horrific act of unnecessary violence by the hands of police. I'm am thankful that the officers attempted to save his life. You very rarely see that. And we need to see that more often while we fight for change.
If just one officer took charge over the crooked one #GeorgeFloyd would still be here. The list of victims that could still be here fighting could be many, yet we will never know. Why? Because a dead man can't testify.
This shit has to stop! We must demand better. We must do better. They will not silence our voices while they murder or brothers and sisters in the streets!
