While African deities do represent metaphysical aspects of yourself and the cosmos, they also represent actual social arenas that societies must master in order to manifest a powerful nation. Our spirituality was a nation-building program.
For example, Ptah and the Yoruba deity Ogun are both symbolic of your community's responsibility to create technology for itself. If you don't fulfill this, you become a slave or prostitute for the people whom you buy your technology from.
Not to mention, you will never have better technology than the race inventing it.

This is why the veneration of Ptah is extremely crucial to African restoration.
It's not just the worship of a statue, but of the principle of technological pursuits as a divine tool to improve society AND protect society.
