I got my PhD in Neuroscience at NYU with @theamygdaloid in 2010. During that time, I was fascinated with the science but also the potential ethical and policy implications of emerging neurotech.
A year before I finished my PhD, I heard a talk by @HankGreelyLSJU at SfN 2009 about Societal Reactions to Neuroscience’s Understandings of the Mind. I immediately thought: “I want to do what that guy does!” I’ll probably never be as good as Hank but the inspiration is there

A year later, I applied to law school to pursue these interests. I completed my JD at Penn Law and Masters in Bioethics @PennMEHP, postdoc in ELSI Genetics @unc_bioethics with @eric_juengst, then faculty @BCMEthics and the rest is history…
