My husband used to manage John Mark & Pattie. A few years ago @johnmarkmc accepted a gig to perform @LibertyU. @pattiemallette also accepted a gig speaking there. I made my hubs call their business managers to demand that NONE of that money ever sees the inside of our bank acct.

Based on the utter & outright homophobia, rape-culture, white-supremacy & structural violence @LibertyU stands for I couldn’t conceive of ever benefitting from their blood money. I did not allow my hubs to deposit that filthy money into our acct.

In light of all this @JerryFalwellJr nonsense, I think it’s EXTREMELY ironic that one of the reasons @johnmarkmc fired my hubs, ending a decade long friendship w him, was because I am bisexual & ethically non-monogamous & the McMillans didn’t want to be associated w us anymore.

So when you hear “my mama dont like you & she likes everyone” or you sing “sloppy wet kiss” just know: his mama likes everyone unless ur LGBTQ & that sloppy wet kiss is reserved for hetero marriages only!

Oh...another gorgeous personal layer to this story is that the day my abuser, who is also a pastor, got up to his pulpit to deny having sexually abused me when I was a kid, he got a standing ovation while the whole church sang “King of My Heart” by Sarah McMillan. *chef’s kiss*
