Sure, he worked as an Islington MP for decades and he did good things for his local community, which includes Jewish constituents.
But this narrative doesn’t match any reality. There are plenty of politicians who have done far more, and have notably helped my community

I feel genuinely embarrassed for any body who believes that signing thousands of EDMs proves a politician has made worthwhile contributions, or to be used as a defence to criticism of them.

Comparing EDM signing to Tory MPs is also meaningless as a substantial number never bother to sign EDMs, which they deem a “waste of resources”.
