Saw this in Cedar City.

this occurs when the stone forms in two directions off of the same point

you can still see the host rock (rhyolite) attached at the center

here are some topaz crystals still attached to the material found on the inside of vugs

a vug is a cavity in a rock lined with mineral crystals

and this is why i went

FUN FACT: Topaz will "bleach" from the sun and eventually lose their color. The ones on the right were found on the ground while the ones on the left were found inside rocks.

Final tweet of the thread is just a photo of my current RV and me begging and pleading Marcus to upgrade me to a little Thor RV.
