You know that feeling when you get to reply to a work email that says ‘payment is x, not y as appears on your invoice’ with ‘oh I was confused by these 3 emails were you clearly stated payment was y’? I don’t think it says anything good about me how much I enjoy that feeling.

My dearest @catvalente is writing sans phone but I don’t think she’d mind me revealing that we have our own term for the slightly ugly exultation of being proved correct. We call it ‘being in the Righthouse.’

Its been enough years now that whenever I am proved right I feel with a strong kinesthetic sense that I am rotating and beaming a powerful ray of light from my supersized fresnel lense to protect passing ships from peril.

Not a lot of company out there in the Righthouse though, as I try to remind myself when necessary.
