A reminder the world just adopted brutal lockdowns because the Chinese did it. Few "experts" questioned the wisdom of doing so.

"The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, in its 2017 community mitigation guidelines for pandemic flu, didn’t recommend stay-at-home orders or closing nonessential businesses even for a flu as severe as the one a century ago."
This is about as damning a piece on our handling of Covid as it gets. When this is all over, many in the media and politicians will hang their heads in shame.
Trump tried to inject some sanity into this but he just wasn't allowed to. The fault lies with him some but with media stoking the flames and Dems pouncing he had to concede.
