it’s targeted towards vulnerable teenagers who may suffer from a mental illness but they are not doing anything beyond their music to support people with it. The message becomes meaningless when you don’t see them actively advocating for those with mental illnesses.

Op isn’t necessarily saying that Kpop idols talking about mental health is bad but is trying to get you guys to remember that it’s not a new marketing strategy or something out of this world. Kpop companies profit off of vulnerability. Keep that in mind.
