Rant warning!
I’ve largely had a couple of days off, for my sanity.
Been so down.
We saw two our lovely kids & our beautiful 18mth old grandson for the first time in 5mths yesterday.
It fed my hungry heart.
I am sorry to report it fed my hate, too.
I am so angry,

so depressed, so sad, to explain to our hard-working, tolerant, talented kids that this is not the world we wanted for them.
As a couple, we’re a bit bonkers & unorthodox, not madly political hitherto, ok, but not devastatingly successful, & we have many ups & downs in

life, like most of us.
However.
I feel guilty that we, the older generation, who took the amazing benefits of being IN the EU for granted & failed to tell them how important it was for peace, prosperity & the future.
I feel guilty that we didn’t warn them that the freedoms

& democracy we all so carelessly enjoyed had to be fought for &, more importantly, PROTECTED against the forces of darkness.
Our generation, who grew up in the shadow of Hitler’s madness should have known better.
I feel ashamed that the values we tried to bring them up with, like

tolerance, empathy, kindness, integrity, honour & decency now count for nothing in the new regime of the slimy creature we are. Ow ruled by, Dominic sodding Cummings.
How dare these monsters, with no morals, empathy, kindness & or decency of their own invoke
