I know we've all been terribly anesthetized, but it is absolutely incredible--incredible!--that the campaign manager for the 2016 Trump campaign had a close associate who SSCI assesses is a Russian intel officer. Not a witting or unwitting asset; not a source--an actual spy.
Moreover, SSCI's bipartisan investigators assessed that this campaign-adjacent *Russian intelligence officer* may have had some role in the 2016 hack-and-leak operation. Oh, and the campaign manager shared private internal polling data with this Russian intelligence officer.
And, just for good measure, once the campaign manager lost his position, he continued to work with his GRU officer colleague on disseminating and amplifying a Russian active measures campaign.
If this isn't crossing the counterintelligence rubicon, I don't know what is.
From the SSCI Report. Plain as day.
