According to Michael Cohen, Trump lies to lenders about the value of his assets. Then he lies about them again on his taxes.

The first would be bank fraud. The second would be tax fraud.

New York Attorney General Tish James appears to be homing in on the first of those - documents proving bank fraud - while Manhattan DA Cy Vance is homing in on the second - documents showing tax fraud.

And now Eric Trump appears to be in the crosshairs.

If Trump loses in November, there will be no obstacle to his potential prosecution. His court fights to block records production have relied solely on his protections as president.

Once he is no longer president, he has no such protections.

However, if - God forbid - he were to win in November, we’d be in the uncharted waters of state prosecutors potentially seeking to criminally prosecute a sitting president.
