We analyzed data. Looked at local and federal responses. And talked to homeless people in hot-spot areas.

We fact checked a report to Congress that said 130 homeless people have died. Based off of just six places, we found this was an undercount.
Congress rushed funding to help homeless people as part of the CARES Act, but just 29% of the $4 billion allocated had reached those in need 4 months later. Read more on this tomorrow.
