While a large percentage of people have never heard of antiziganism or even the Romani people, hatred and violence towards the Roma has been a pillar of white supremacy and Christian dominionism for centuries.

Towards that end, this is a timeline thread of systemic antiziganism.
Note: The Romani people first entered Europe independently at the start of the 14th century, where they were immediately enslaved. Specific incidents begin around that time.
1385: The first record of the exchange of enslaved Gypsies in Romania.

1416: Meissen, Germany expels Roma residents.

1427: Roma are refused entry through the gates of Paris.
1449: The city of Frankfurt violently drives out the Roma

1471: Lucerne, Switzerland passes a law banning Roma from residence.

1471: Stephen the Great imports 17,000 Roma slaves into Moldavia.

1482: Brandenburg bans Roma from residence.
1492: Along with the Jews, the Roma are expelled from Spain by Ferdinand and Isabella.

1493: Milan expels the Roma.

1496: The Landau Reichstag declares the Roma to be enemies of all Christian nations and Turkish spies. Oh, and plague carriers.
1499: Spain orders all remaining Roma to cease traveling, convert to Christianity, and find a trade. First offense is whipping, second offense is amputation of the ears, third offense is enslavement.

(Ear amputation will be a running theme, as will enforced assimilation).
1500: The Augsburg Reichstag accuses the Roma of kidnapping children and witchcraft, and eclares them enemies of Christian nations.

1504: Louis XII forbids Romani from settling in France and expels Roma residents.

1510: France orders all Roma remaining to be hanged.
1512: Roma are expelled from both Sweden and Catalonia.

1525: Charles V of Holland orders all Roma to evacuate the country within two days.
1530: The ‘Egyptians Act’ in England orders “the outlandish people calling themselves Gypsies” to vacate England within 16 days. Their goods were to be confiscated. Any Gypsy entering England was to be hanged.

The Act was repealed in 1856.
1538: Portugal begins deporting Romani residents to the Caribbean/other colonies.

1541: Frances I banishes Roma from France AGAIN.

1547: Edward VI of England orders all remaining Gypsies to be branded with a V and enslaved for two years. Second offenders to be enslaved for life
1554: Philip II of Spain and Mary I of England impose the death penalty on “all Egyptians and in the company of Egyptians”

1558: The Roma are expelled from Warsaw.

1560: The Lutheran Church of Sweden bans Roma from being baptised or given Communion.
1548: The Diet of Augsburg declares that ‘to kill a Gypsy is not murder.’ So many Gypsies are killed throughout Catholic Europe that further decrees are issued banning the drowning of Roma women and children.
1561: Spain forbids Roma from travelling in groups larger than two. Male Roms over the age of 14 are sent to the galleys and mines.

1563: The Council of Trent affirms that Roma men cannot be priests.

1568: Pope Pius V orders the expulsion of all Roma from all Catholic lands.
1573: Itinerant Roma are expelled from Scotland.

1579: Saxony expels the Roma.

1586: Belarus expels the Roma.

1589: Denmark makes being Roma a hanging offense.
1596: 109 Roma are sentenced to death in York, England, for being Roma. 9 are hanged and the rest expelled.

1619: Philip III of Spain orders all Roma to settle or leave within 6 months.
1637: All Roma are ordered to leave Sweden within one year. Remaining men would be hanged and remaining women and children would be driven out.

1646: The city of Berne passes laws allowing individuals “to personally kill or liquidate by bastinado or firearm” Roma or ‘heathens’
1660: Louis XIV banishes the Roma from France AGAIN.

1661: Saxony institutes the death penalty for any Roma found.

1670s: Portugal deports it’s Romani populations to Brasil and makes speaking Romani Chib a crime.
1710: Joseph I, Holy Roman Emperor, orders all Roma men to be hanged without trial. Women and children were to be mutilated. I. 1721, Charles V expands the edict to adult women.

Tens of thousands of Roma are murdered throughout the HRE.
1710: Bohemia, and Moravia orders Roma men and women to have their ears cut off. Austria orders Roma men and women to be branded with a gallows. Any Roma found with a gallows brand is to be hanged.

1711: Frederick Augustus of Saxony orders any Rom resisting arrest to be shot on sight.

1714: British landowners appeal to the Privy Council to be allowed to enslave and ship European Gypsies to the colonies.

1715: Scotland sends 10 Gypsies to Virginia.
1721: Emperor Karl VI of Austria-Hungary orders the death of all Roma in his domain.

1723: Residents of Lorraine are encouraged to ‘gather, march in formation, and open fire” on local Gypsy encampments.

1725: Frederick William I orders all Roma to be hanged without trial.
1727. An edict from the city of Berne.

“Gypsy men and women of more than fifteen years of age shall have one ear cut off the first time they are caught ... but if they are caught a second time they shall be sentenced to death."
1728: An edict from Aachen.

“Captured Gypsies, whether they resist or not, shall be put to death immediately. However, those seized...shall be granted no more than a half an hour to kneel...beg God almighty to forgive them their sins and to prepare themselves for death."
1731: Empress Anna of Russia orders all Roma to be made serfs.

1745: The Roma of Spain are given two weeks to leave. The Catholic Church decrees that it will offer no asylum.
1749: Spain holds a ‘Great Gypsy Round-Up.”

The Roma are rounded up and separated into the “good and the evil” The ‘evil’ are hanged or enslaved. All Roma children are separated from their families and forced into convents or factories to ‘learn the holy fear of God.’
1759: The Roma are expelled from St. Petersburg.

1773: Maria Theresa of Hungary orders all Roma children over the age of five to be removed and indentured as farm labour.

The children almost universally escape to the mountains.
1776: Roma in Moldavia are forbidden to marry non-Roma.

1782: Hundreds of Roma in Hungary are charged with cannibalism and murdered.

1783: Spain reiterated that Roma who travel, wear Gypsy dress, speak Romani Chib, and do no assimilate are to be sentenced to death.
