One more political thought: I want you to imagine you're a middle-aged/older upper middle class white man who lives in a red state, in a small, mostly homogeneous community. Your taxes are probably pretty low, you feel pretty safe in your world, you have money... 1/x
...You have some security. But you're worried that your kids won't get into the college of their choice because of diversity, you're worried that you're going to say the wrong thing to the wrong person and lose your job, your community has largely been untouched by COVID...
You don't really know any Black people and the ones you do are pretty deferential to you. Maybe you're in a purple state, so you get some of the benefits of liberalism, but you're not really paying for them. Maybe some people in your family get annoyed at your emails...
...But you're still invited to Thanksgiving and people just stop talking politics around you. Your life, in 2020, is pretty good. And I bet you can say it's better now than it was 4 years ago.

That's his audience. That's his base. And scaring them about Black people...
...moving into their neighborhoods, rioting in the street, taking over the country, is probably going to work. Just know that it is.

But. There are more of us. We just have to get to the polls.

Fight for every vote. Fight for every voter.
