Just fyi you can absolutely acknowledge that bi women and lesbians have different experiences without being biphobic or lesbophobic. Also we need to do a much better job of listening to each other when we talk about our experiences. It is not that hard I promise.

Idk man I’ve just seen way too many biphobic lesbian posts on my tl lately and it’s frustrating. You guys are quick to call out lesbophobia but won’t recognize your own biphobia. This is why lesbians and bi women are not listening to each other.

If you can’t talk about your experiences as a lesbian without being biphobic or vice versa don’t talk about them at all. This is where the hate comes from. Neither is actively oppressing the other but we each need to be more careful. Neither benefits from this infighting.

I’ve seriously unfollowed so many lesbians for pushing narratives that paint bi women as just spicy straight girls who only date men but fucked a woman in college once but want to say dyke. Yes we have unique differences but we’re really not that different.

There is absolutely no reason to go around and say that bi women don’t experience shit for being bi. Even if they’re in a relationship with a man. They might not get hate crimed in the same way bc people think they’re straight, but they’re still lgbt.

And since when is your lgbt-ness related to who you’re dating? Are single lesbians not lgbt? Are feminine lesbians who aren’t seen as a wlw to straights not lgbt?

If a hateful straight sees two girls dating in public and they call them dykes, they’re not gonna take it back if they find out one or both is bi. Bi women in same sex relationships still get hate crimed (not to say that bi women in het relationships don’t face shit too).

Anyways this thread is getting too long but honestly I’m getting sick of all the infighting. Don’t build an echo chamber with just people like you and jerk off all day about how bad the others are. It’s disgusting and breeds this shit. End of.
