The reasons AMN MIGHT be sold:

1. Maitland-Niles wants to play centrally long-term and Arteta deems him not good enough to do that for Arsenal.

2. Arsenal want to create some cash to fund transfers like Partey and Aouar.

3. Cedric was brought in as back-up at RB for free

4. Arteta does not see AMN as a RB in a 4-man defence, the defence he wants to use going forward.

5. Arsenal think he is too valuable to keep as a back-up/rotation player.

6. He wants a place in a starting line-up. Something Arsenal can’t promise him in the future.

7. Osei-Tutu is coming back from a successful loan from Bundesliga 2. and has more specificity on the right-hand side, being able to play as a RB, Rwb, Rm and Rw. Being younger than AMN, he is his successor.

8. Arsenal plan on strengthening the midfield area in the team..

pushing AMN even further away from the starting line-up. Selling players is key in this.

Final words:
I know we all have feelings for AMN, being a versitile player from Hale End. But a few months from now, we will see that this was something that had to be done to improve.
