In a few minutes, I'll be handing my feed over to @turnerlobey, who will run the project. It'll be his third time doing this, I think? So let's start with a big THANK YOU to Turner because 8 hours straight on Twitter is more than any human being should be asked to give.

For the rest of the work day, Turner will be using THIS FEED to signal boost the portfolios and CVs of women and non-binary folks working, or qualified to work, in all aspects of the comic book industry. #VisibleWomenHowTo

When we're done, all the portfolio and CV links will be collected into a spreadsheet and made available FOR FREE to any hiring professional in the comic book or publishing industry. #visiblewomenhowto

Couple of Notes: Using the template will help ensure you get on the spreadsheet, but will not guarantee it. We will miss posts. It will just happen. Twitter is an imperfect system. We apologize, but I promise you, we're doing our best to be inclusive.

On inclusivity! A broader understanding of the gender spectrum has come a long way since we first started this initiative and we understand that women are not the only marginalized gender in need of support and visibility. NB and trans masc folks are welcome, but we own that

the use of #VisibleWomen makes that problematic and potentially painful, particularly for people in the latter group. We are having a think on our responsibilities here and welcome your constructive input.
