My interactions with neolibs on Twitter have taught me that they simply don’t know that Trump, who is an awful president, is simply using policies Biden helped codify into law to impose fascism on us. Let’s build a helpful list here. I’ll start:

1. The Crime Bill - Biden wrote this atrocity that is still being used to jail mostly black men for non-violent crimes while allowing cops to rule with a heavy hand.

2. The Student Loan Crisis - While Trump is forgiving payments through the end of the year (re-election ploy), it was actually Biden’s work on the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005 that made them virtually impossible to discharge.

3. “Kids in cages! Snargle- bargle” - This tiresome neolib rallying cry never takes into account that, while Obama/Biden didn’t separate immigrant families, they still built the cages & housed humans in them. 4. Killing USPS - GOP & neolib ideology is to privatize everything, but if the 2006 Senate, of which Biden was a part, hadn’t unanimously ( at you, too, Bernie) adopted the House bill requiring it to fund the pensions of workers who aren’t even born, it would be better off.

So there are four examples of oft-heard complaints about Trump that he couldn’t be using to terrorize us all now had Biden not codified into law. Add your own here & pass this thread around. Thx!
