Sharing my work with a few friends, they were stunned and inspired by what I'd written and implored me to share my thoughts with a wider audience.
This was the birth of my memoir INNER DEMONS.
Fast forward a couple of years and I feel it's time to re-introduce my work.

My inspiration to revisit comes from all the wonderful people I've met on Twitter. The convos I've had have been an inspiration and I felt it was time to share more with the community I'm a part of.
What is the book about? An American life with Black highlights.

Education, religion, depression, race, career, abuse, insecurity, parenthood, love, relationships, divorce, money, self reliance and so many other topics are included in my story.
And while I use my details to explore these ideas, so much of what I've experienced is common.

My goal was never to highlight myself, but to share stories and situations anyone can identify with.
Somewhere in my journey I hope others can find something to give them more courage to tackle the issues they face.
At least to know they aren't alone.

The point I want to get across is that we have more power over the course of our lives than we often realize. There is pain in life, but that pain can teach us valuable lessons.
If we have breath, we must fight to right the wrongs in our lives. We can't quit on ourselves.
