Adolf Hitler is the 2nd most evil human being in modern times (after Leopold II of Belgium). What is never spoken about though, is the "GREATEST ECONOMIC MIRACLE IN HISTORY" under his rule, and what can be learned from that.

From its inception in 1920, the Nazi party adopted a 25 point programme demanding land, nationalization of key industries, improved healthcare, abolition of unearned interest & rentier incomes and the expansion of old-age welfare, removal of Roman-Dutch Law, media regulation etc.

The The National Socialists' "demands" were made before they came into power in 1933. When they did come into power it was during the Great Depression, with 40% unemployment - 6M jobless. Industrial production was down almost 50%.

At some point, the price of a loaf of bread had increased from 250 marks to 200 billion marks (yes). Workers would need to get aid twice a day because prices rose so quickly that by lunchtime their wages would be worthless

The German government attempted all types of economic policies including "fiscal prudence" i.e austerity, none of this worked (it never does) and the country kept spiralling deeper and deeper into the abyss

When the National Socialists (Nazi Party) eventually won the elections and came to power they went about implementing their "demands" programme, and here's what happened:

3.4 million jobs were created in 1 year, through mainly stimulating the building of infrastructure, which the previous government did not do because they were busy paying off WW1 debt (sort of like how the ANC was paying apartheid debt)

Within three years, unemployment in Germany went from over 6 million to 0 (zero). Every unemployed man had to take up an available job, or risk being sent to prison. Non-Germans had their citizenship removed and were thus not eligible for employment

Companies were given money if they employed more workers. The government created money (as opposed to allowing banks to create it by loaning out money) and gave it to companies the more the employed people

The Nazis embarked on an ambitious campaign to build freeways (Autobahns) across the length and breadth of the country, resulting in millions of jobs, with families spending the money and naturally, stimulating economic activity in all sectors

The construction of new Autobahns between major cities stimulated the German car industry to build more cars, which then needed to employ more people, and so on and so forth and stuff like that

Between 1933 to 1936 the number of Germans working in the construction industry tripled to 2 million. Many worked renovating and building the dilapidated public buildings of Berlin

Hitler formed a new programme of Military Service, taking thousands of unemployed young men into the National German Army. This meant that lots more guns, military vehicles, uniforms and kit were needed, providing even more employment

The Nazis subsidised stadiums, housing projects, and planting of new forests. Hitler commissioned a state-sponsored car manufacturer to provide cheap cars for families. It was called Volkswagen, - ‘people’s car’. Families were encouraged to buy one by making monthly payments

Because the population had been decimated by WW1, Hitler paid women handsomely to "stay home and be good wives". Expectant mothers were given free medical care. His rationale was they needed to up the population by encouraging more births (feminists, assemble!)

Imports were forbidden unless vital to survival. Research was established to reproduce these goods from inside Germany. Bread imports from Poland were banned, meaning more German bread & new jobs for farmers and bakers

Within 2 years, the Nazis had created 6 million jobs. Granted, they weren't all very well-paying, but they provided a living wage, infinitely better than unemployment

Lastly, and most crucially, charging interest on loans was seen as immoral and banks were forced to abolish the practice. Millions were freed from perpetual debt slavery. This was a very sensitive issue for (mainly Jewish) bankers and is one of the reasons there was a lot of hate

Hitler was a racist evil sumbitch, however it does not change the fact that in 4 years he took his country from defeat, a bankrupt economy, war debt, hyperinflation and American sanctions, into full employment with the strongest economy and biggest military power in Europe!
