Hi all! I want to start off and say that everyone is okay and safe, and I don’t want sympathy for everything, but I am very worried about my brother, his roommates, and all the people around him.

There was a severe flash flood last night, and my brother, his roommates, as well as anyone living in the apartments around them now don’t have a place to be living, and school is starting back up today.
Everything they all had is destroyed

Sadly, I don’t have many pictures or videos, I was on call and facetime mostly so I don’t have anything really saved from that. I will be going over to check on everyone a bit later and will take some then. This is the only video I have, and it is from not even 30 minutes in.
The storm started around 8:30pm but it was pretty light until about 8:55. My apartments did not flood but our power went out at 9, and by 9:10 my brother (he’s 23) was calling me having a severe panic attack like I had never seen him have before.
He was freaking out. A girl had got stuck under a car (they got her out after 5 minutes) and his apartment door caved in completely. Apparently nothing that was in his apartment has survived but damages are going to be checked later.
Anyways, we just went though this traumatic event last night and everything my brother had is destroyed. Obviously, people need to take care of themselves first, but if anyone is able to help/donate it would be greatly appreciated, as i’m going to be helping him get new things.
I’m attaching my venmo if anyone is able to help, but please please please don’t feel pressured to donate if you cant! Any help is extremely appreciated and I will continue to update as I get more information.
If anyone is more comfortable with paypal mine is https://www.paypal.me/hanatthedisco ">https://www.paypal.me/hanatthed... as well. Once again, if you can’t help/donate I completely understand! I’m really just trying to get some extra money to help my brother get his things back and into a safe place again. Thank you!
This is my friends tik tok. He was in one of the flooded apartments that got the LEAST amount of damage. The management is doing NOTHING to help and nobody has a place to go.

We now also have a gofundme up if anyone who can help would prefer to do it that way! https://gf.me/u/yts7z5 ">https://gf.me/u/yts7z5&...
Here are some more photos I’ve got as well. They are not even allowed to go inside their apartment to try to salvage anything.
Here’s a few more as well. We are still trying to get more pictures but it’s hard to truly see the damage considering his apartment is under police watch and nobody is allowed in at all.
WE HAVE BEEN TOLD BY THE MANAGEMENT SINCE THIS HAPPENED THAT THEY ARE WORKING TO GET THINGS FIGURED OUT! EVERY TIME WE TALK TO THEM THEY SAY “THEY ARE HANDLING IT” BUT WE HAVE NO INFORMATION!!
ALL THEY HAVE TOLD US IS THAT IF THEY DONT GET BACK TO US IN THE NEXT HOUR THAT THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO TONIGHT !!! THIS LEAVES MULTIPLE PEOPLE WITHOUT ANYWHERE TO GO WITH ALL THEIR THINGS LOST
OKAY! Everything from before here is from outside. Nobody was allowed in so now my brother and roommates have gone in anyways and got pictures from inside. There are multiple so I will be adding them for a few posts.
I’m sorry, at this point i’m becoming more and more desperate for help. As the day has gone on, everything has gotten worse. All those photos are from nearly 24 hours after the whole occurrence. They are all left with nothing
The management has a hotel for them for the night, but that’s just not enough. My brother does not have a car so will be unable to even get to campus for his classes now for who knows how long. He was also searching for a job but now has to drop that search.
He does not have the ability to do that right now! Any professional clothes he had are ruined, and he can’t be working when he has literally nothing available to him. We don’t know what to do.
