(Small thread) Little thoughts on AMN after thinking about the transfer for a while. Makes perfect sense for both clubs and the player. Jonny is out for for atleast 7-9 months, so he’s gonna be replacement for him and a back up for Doherty.
Wolves play with a very tactical formation (3-4-3) where the right wing back overlaps and left wing back plays a very inverted role playing almost as the third midfielder and Saiss playing very wide to cover the wing.
That LWB role is the perfect position for a player like AMN who has made it very clear in the past that his best position is in the midfield. AMN has the attacking, defensive and ball playing ability to play a position that is very important for Wolves’ success.
But then again I’m a huge fan of his, and think he’s the best wingback we have, but he has had some bad performances in a four at the back system which I think we are gonna switch next season, and us signing Cedric on a long deal always meant that one of the RB’s were gonna leave
But if we manage to get £20m-£25m for him and we invest that to Thiago, Aouar or Partey, it’s a win-win for everybody involved in the transfer. Although I believe he has all the potential to become a very good fullback with the proper coaching.
So I’m on the edge which way I’m feeling about this transfer. What ever happens just remember @MaitlandNiles that you’ll have the support of every Arsenal fan because you’re a true gooner and a cracking player. @Wolves take good care of him.
