Were there eggs on this wood recently? Must lick to determine.

So here’s an excellent demo of why “snakes with triangular heads are dangerous!” is not helpful for determining snake safety. Another rat snake was pissing off the ducks. By the time I spotted her, she had spotted me and was nervous. Look at this “triangle” head.

Exact same non venomous species (possibly the same snake!) as the earlier one in this thread, different look because she was nervous.
