It took me meeting a man who is vocal & transparent about his feelings to come to the actualization that men really can’t express themselves without 1. Apologizing for it, 2. Being labeled as weak or being emasculated by other men AND women
I really thought men just came up with the idea that they cannot communicate their feelings.. no baby. That stereotype has long been engrained. It perpetuates misogynistic gender roles, that only women can feel.. men are desensitized.
That when men DO express themselves, their seen as angry.. they might very well be & for good fuckin reason! but to me, it looks like frustration, passion, defeat.. it must be hard to be told u can’t feel or feel but don’t tell anyone.
