Marxism IS unbiblical— Marx himself knew as much. Capitalism isn’t an ideology. It describes what naturally happens when people are free to provide for themselves. The Bible protects property rights (thou shall not steal, thou shall not covet); Marxism does not. https://twitter.com/tylerleeconway/status/1297267697097609218
“Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labor, doing honest work with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with anyone in need.” Ephesians 4:28 You work, you make a profit, you voluntarily share it.
“If anyone is not willing to work, let him not eat. For we hear that some among you walk in idleness, not busy at work, but busybodies. Now such persons we command and encourage in the Lord Jesus Christ to do their work quietly and to earn their own living.” 2 Thess
3:10-12
“You shall eat the fruit of the labor of your hands; you shall be blessed, and it shall be well with you.” Psalm 128:2 You work, you profit, you provide for your family, you give generously.
“Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Cor 9:7 Marxism does not allow for “cheerful giving.” It is the forced redistribution of wealth and property. It is theft.
We should not make an idol of wealth. (1 Tim 6:10) Wealth is not our goal (Prov 11:4) We work heartily for the Lord. (Col 3:23) We provide for our families (1 Tim 5:8, Prov 31) and to steward our money wisely and obediently (1 Tim 6:17-19)
