As a Monday afternoon treat, here& #39;s some data viz courtesy of @Twenty3sport on Rodrigo Moreno seeing as the rumours are hotting up.
First up a passing network so you can see where Rodrigo has played this season. As you can see, Valencia have largely functioned in a 4-4-2 with Rodrigo playing in the RFW role.
Leeds fans have been talking about Rodrigo as a Bamford replacement but I& #39;m not so sure. He could certainly function as a striker in a Bielsa system:
But then if you look at his minutes per position this season, he looks much more suited to playing in a wide attacking role on the right:
And his shot map comparison with Bamford suggests he& #39;s less a goal scorer and more a goal creator this season:
Here& #39;s his passing network, for good measure:
We& #39;ve banged on a lot about Leeds looking to increase production in wide areas this season and Rodrigo would fit this pattern: flexibility to be able to play a number of positions and production from a wide area.
If pushed, I& #39;d see him as an option on the wide right.
